Volunteer Action with Dorothy Snot in the Historical Olive Grove
As part of our collaboration with Dorothy Snot, a meaningful volunteer activity took place in the historical olive grove surrounding the Kaisariani Monastery, within the Mt. Hymettus Aesthetic Forest.
Parents and children from the kindergarten classes at Dorothy Snot (Kypseli campus) joined us in the field, offering hands-on help through activities that were both practical and educational.
Together, they cleared dry grasses, loosened the soil around the trunks of olive trees, and repaired eroded sections of a central footpath.
Beyond the direct support to Philodassiki’s team, the action had a strong experiential element – giving children the opportunity to engage with real, meaningful tasks that contribute to the care of this historic landscape.
We warmly thank all the children and their families for their enthusiasm, energy, and generosity of spirit.
A heartfelt thank you as well to the Dorothy Snot educational team for the excellent collaboration and for fostering a new generation of environmentally aware citizens.
The Mt. Hymettus Aesthetic Forest is a living space for enjoying nature and learning, and moments like this inspire us to keep moving forward with purpose.
