Volunteer Action with Alpha Bank in the Analipsi Area
We were thrilled to welcome a team of 80 Alpha Bank employees for a volunteer field activity in the Mt. Hymettus Aesthetic Forest, near the Kaisariani Monastery.
The group focused on restoring a damaged section of the Analipsi forest road, which had suffered significant wear due to erosion and frequent use. The project involved collection and transporting locally available materials – stones and soil – from the surrounding area, surface-level excavation of soil from designated spots and under the guidance of the Philodassiki team, and using those materials to fill and level existing ruts and eroded patches along the road.
The goal was twofold: to improve safe access for both firefighting and maintenance vehicles, as well as for forest visitors, and to strengthen the road’s durability against future rainfall and erosion.
The Alpha Bank team brought energy, strong coordination, and a sincere willingness to contribute. Initiatives like this show the true value of cooperation between institutions, companies, and environmental organizations, all working together to protect and enhance our shared natural spaces.
We extend our warmest thanks to everyone who took part, and to Alpha Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility team for our excellent collaboration. Their support had a clear and lasting impact, and we truly value it.
